What is AUREFJORD?
AUREFJORD is a collection of ten architectural outdoor saunas, from 5 to 40 m², with panoramic glazing, refined timber interiors and remote-controlled electric heaters. The saunas are designed as factory-built timber modules for private gardens, cabins, holiday homes and hospitality projects across Europe. AUREFJORD is a brand of UAB Likinija, a Lithuanian company (company code 304332857), which owns the designs.
Where are AUREFJORD saunas made?
The collection is designed for factory production in Lithuania, where the timber modules are built, fitted out and prepared for transport before delivery. Producing complete modules in a factory keeps quality consistent and reduces work on site.
Which countries does AUREFJORD deliver to?
AUREFJORD serves customers across Europe, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, Italy and Spain. Delivery, lifting and installation are confirmed for each address in the written quotation.
Can I order an AUREFJORD sauna now?
The first production series is being prepared. You can join the priority list for a build slot today, free of charge and without commitment. Priority customers receive drawings, a specification and a written quotation first. A binding order is only made when you accept a written quotation.
Choosing a model
Which outdoor sauna size do I need?
Choose by the rooms you want. Panorama 5, Corner 7 and Nordic Frame 9 are sauna-only models (5–9 m²). Horizon 12 and Atelier 15 add a changing area. Dune 18 adds a resting space. Lounge 22 and Courtyard 28 add a separate lounge. Retreat 34 and Pavilion 40 also include a shower area. The number in each name is the enclosed external footprint in square metres.
What is the best outdoor sauna for a small garden?
Panorama 5 (2.0 × 2.5 m) and Corner 7 (2.8 × 2.5 m) are the most compact AUREFJORD models. Panorama 5 has a full-height glass front towards one view; Corner 7 has corner glazing towards two views. Nordic Frame 9 (3.6 × 2.5 m) gives a larger sauna room with a glazed gable front.
Which AUREFJORD model suits a hotel, spa or holiday park?
For hospitality, the larger models with changing, lounge and shower areas work best: Lounge 22, Courtyard 28, Retreat 34 and Pavilion 40. For several units on one site, sauna-only models such as Nordic Frame 9 can be repeated as private sauna cabins. See the trade page for project and volume enquiries.
How many people fit in each sauna?
Seating is set from the final bench layout and heater clearances, so it is confirmed in the drawings for your project. Tell us how many people you want to seat and whether anyone wants to lie down, and the layout is planned around that.
Can the design be customised?
Yes, within the system. The interior timber palette, exterior finish, glazing orientation and selected room arrangements can be chosen. Changes that affect structure, heating or transport are checked by engineering before they become part of the quotation.
Heaters and comfort
Do AUREFJORD saunas use electric or wood-fired heaters?
AUREFJORD uses electric heaters only. Electric heating gives even, controllable heat, no chimney or firewood, and allows the sauna to be switched on remotely.
Can I start the sauna from my phone?
Yes. Every AUREFJORD sauna is specified with an electric heater that can be controlled by app over Wi-Fi, so it can be warm when you arrive. Remote start uses a heater control with the safety functions required for remote operation under EN 60335-2-53.
What electrical supply does an outdoor sauna need?
Most AUREFJORD models need a three-phase supply because large glazed sauna rooms need a more powerful heater. The heater output, cable size and fuse are confirmed for each model and destination in the specification. A local qualified electrician makes the final connection.
Can an AUREFJORD sauna be used all year?
The saunas are designed for outdoor use in Nordic and Central European climates, with insulated walls and roof, insulated glazing and a ventilated construction. Snow and wind loads are checked for the destination, and heavier snow zones receive a stronger roof specification.
Delivery, foundation and installation
How is a modular outdoor sauna delivered?
Each AUREFJORD sauna is delivered as one or more factory-built modules on a lorry and lifted into place with a crane. Modules are up to about 2.5 m wide and 6 m long. Larger models are made of two or three modules that are joined on site. Access for the lorry and crane is checked before delivery.
What foundation does an outdoor sauna need?
An AUREFJORD sauna stands on point foundations, such as ground screws or small concrete pads, with a ventilated gap of at least 150 mm under the floor. The sauna is anchored to the foundations so that it cannot slide or lift in strong wind. The foundation plan is supplied with the project drawings.
How long does installation take on site?
Because the modules arrive finished from the factory, placing a single-module sauna normally takes one day once the foundations are ready. Multi-module models need additional time to join the modules and complete the roof and cladding joints. Electrical connection is made by a local electrician.
Do I need planning permission for a garden sauna?
It depends on your country, region and plot. Many countries exempt small detached garden buildings below a size limit, but rules on size, height, distance to boundaries and protected areas vary. Check with your local building authority before ordering. AUREFJORD provides drawings and dimensions for your application.
Price and ordering
How much does an AUREFJORD outdoor sauna cost?
Prices depend on the model, options and destination. AUREFJORD provides a written quotation for each project that separates the sauna and options from VAT, transport, crane lifting, foundations and installation, so the total is clear before you decide. Priority-list customers receive quotations first.
What is included in the quotation?
The quotation covers the factory-built sauna with heater and controls, the selected interior and exterior options, and packaging. Transport, crane lifting, foundations, electrical connection and installation are listed separately for your address, together with VAT for your country.
How does payment work?
Payment is made in stages: a deposit when you accept the quotation and production is scheduled, a payment before dispatch, and the balance on delivery. The exact schedule is stated in the written quotation and terms of sale.
